    MY FATHER (2007)
“No matter what, but you’re still my father”
RECOMMENDED MOVIE!!!!!
I was really thrilled with the plot of this movie. I cried. A lot. Even when I wrote this blog, I was cry. haha

My Father based on true story (it turned out at the beginning of the movie). About a guy named James Parker, adopted son by American’s family, who is searching for his biological parents in South Korea. But suddenly he just knew that his father was a condemned murderer on death row. Although he shocked, he was happy that finally he met his birth father.
After that, he gradually visited the prison to talked with his father. He also asked about his father’s background, asked about her mother, and how they met. It made James very happy and they had become closer. James also made a petition to abolished his father’s death row (but it didn’t work).
But then, James knew the fact that everything what his father ever told was a big lied. He lied about his background, how they met, and even with who his mother was. James was very angry, but when his father finally admitted that he was a crazy murderer, James could controlled his emotion.
It really took a time to calm down. Then, his father thought that James wouldn’t came to saw him again because of his lies. But no, James forgave it by the time he left. James came again, and even made the book of his photograph, from the baby to recent. He also showed his first girlfriend, his step brother and sister, also his family in America.
Because so many people told that James and his birth father had a different to each other, James took a DNA test. And he just shocked that doctor said that they’re not related. But James couldn’t accepted it. The fact that his father had picture of him and his mother was proof enough for James. James and his father in prison had a strong relationship afterall. And James wouldn’t ruin it.
Not long after that, suddenly his foster father in America died. He had heart attacked. Then James went back to America to helped the family bussiness.
And still, no matter what, James made his decision that he -the murderer- was his father.

What I’m trying to share with you guys, it’s about LOVING YOUR FATHER.
James Parker (Aaron Bates -in real life) accepted Hwang Nam-cheol (Sung Nak Joo) as his father, even he was a murderer and even he was not exactly related by DNA’s test.
And how could we’re not accepted our father the way he was?
James Parker came from overseas to met the man was not his father, and how could we didn’t always spent our time with our father when we still lived at house together?
James Parker did the best to saved the man was not his father before his death row, so how could we did nothing to our dad when he still had a healthy life?
This movie, this true story, should be a reflection for us
